Blonyx Review
Buy at: Blonyx

A while back I contacted Blonyx about testing out their Creatine+HMB supplement and writing a review. I have used creatine in the past with some good results, but stopped taking it in order to try to lose some weight. Im a bigger CrossFitter at 6’2, 225 so adding weight wasn’t something I was looking for at the time. Now that I have been cleared to workout again, I started looking into finding products that would help me get my strength back as quickly as possible.

Enter Blonyx. I read some great reviews on their product so I definitely wanted to try it out for myself. They were more than happy to send me a month supply as long as I followed a few simple testing guidelines and gave a completely honest review.

So before I get into the review, Ill do my best to explain what is actually in the product. I like to dumb things down as much as possible so even I can understand what I am talking about. Blonyx, as you can probably guess by the product name consists of Creatine and HMB. Creatine, as we all know, has been used as a supplement forever and has been used by a ton of people to get stronger. It is probably one of the most widely researched supplements there is. Creatine, in a nutshell, increases the bodies ability to rapidly produce energy. This allows you to train harder and longer, which in turn produces faster results. So far so good right!? Well, there is one drawback, and that creatine does pull water into muscle cells, so there is some weight gain, and some people even experience bloat. If this is an issue, Blonyx does offer a product that consists only of HMB. HMB is naturally produced in the human body but only in very small amounts. Supplementing with HMB has shown to increase muscular endurance, while also increasing strength and recovery times.

I’m a skeptic, but numbers don’t lie, so at the beginning of the cycle I did as they recommended and picked a simple lift, Back Squat, and a Metcon to test to see what kind of improvements I may get.

Conclusion
Well, as you can see by the numbers I had awesome results. I PR’d my back squat by 10 lbs, which is a pretty awesome improvement in just one month. More exciting for me though was that I was able to beat my Metcon time by 1:46 and not only beat it, I was able to do it heavier than the first time. I increased the weight of the over head squats and the squat snatches by 30 lbs and was able to do them without my shoulder getting fatigued which has been a huge problem for me. So would I say this stuff works? Absolutely. As for drawbacks, one is taste, its kinda rough, but its over quickly. The other, it may be a little pricey, but hey with those kind of results, its worth it. And with the amount we spend on T-shirts these days, I’d say it’s a justifiable purchase.
