I am on day 13 of no processed foods so I thought I would give you an update. Before I continue, I will admit to having 2 bratwurst with buns, a couple of beers, and some chips during Game 1 of the World Series, but hey it’s the World Series and the Giants were kicking ass!! Plus I had company over, and no one likes the asshole that’s too good to eat what everyone else is having. So I forgive myself.

How has it been? Not easy! I can’t lie, its been a rough road. At about day 7 I hated everyone, and everything. I had zero motivation, and could barely form a complete sentence. It was super strange. But that goes to show you just how addicting sugar is, and what your body will put you through in order to get it. It’s also possible that I’m not getting an adequate amount of calories because I can defiantly feel irritability coming on when it is time to eat. When you eat non-processed foods, you can and need to eat a lot of food just to get the amount of calories you need. The good news is that I feel like I’m coming out of the fog, and each day it gets a little easier. Do I still crave sugar? Hell ya I do! Just not as strongly.

The good news is that I am down 10 lbs, and I have lost an inch and a half off of my waist. Running has been a lot easier and, oh ya, I got my first muscle up! The weight part for me is pretty exciting because I’ve been stuck at 235 forever! I was too stubborn to think that my diet was bad enough to be holding me back. I would ultimately like to get down to 215 lbs. We’ll see if that can happen.

All in all I’m happy with the results I’ve had, although its been really hard to stick with it. I guess like quitting anything that is toxic to your body, its been a lot harder to do than I thought it would be, but if I can do it, anyone can do it.
