I’m pretty stoked that I’ve been selected for the Shape and Mens Fitness Fitbit Charge Blogger Challenge, where 10 Bloggers from each coast are tasked to test out the new Fitbit Charge. Each week we will get a challenge that we need to complete. At the end of 4 weeks the Coast that has the moved the most will be called the most Active! I figured this would be super cinchy for me as I’m on my feet all day, but of course the first week challenge was harder than I thought it would be.
Week 1 Challenge
Take your workout outdoors. Go on a hike or do a trail run…. OK, first of all, I’m not a good runner, and second of all, trails are usually way harder for me! But I decided to go find the biggest hill I could, and do a trail run. Of course I was slow, and it was tough, but I’m glad I did it! If it wasn’t for the challenge, I probably never would have gone and done it! So hey! I’ll take it!
As part of the challenge we were all sent the new Fitbit Charge. It keeps track of steps, how far you’ve gone, how many flights of stairs you have climbed, calories burned, and even how well you slept! That’s pretty cool! It has been interesting to see my sleep patterns throughout the night, and how what I do that day effects how I sleep that night. All of this is logged on a pretty sweet app that I downloaded on my iPhone! Totally easy to use and effective at the same time, my kinda device!
